Bright, a Bristol-based full-service event management and production company, is proud to announce that it has selected The MAZI Project as one of its official supported community action causes for 2026.

Throughout the coming year, Bright will leverage its technical and creative expertise to support The MAZI Project’s event production with key fundraising opportunities across the year and the city.

This partnership is built on a shared philosophy: the belief that connection is the birthplace for a healthy community. While Bright focuses on building connections within the workplace through employee engagement, The MAZI Project supports Bristol’s most vulnerable young people by providing access to fresh ingredients, culinary skills, and the community of the dinner table.

Alistair Paul, Director at Bright, commented:

“At Bright, our entire mission is built on the importance of connection for company culture. We see every day how powerful it is to have people in the same room, and we believe there is no better medium for that than food. We chose The MAZI Project because their mission to support young people’s mental health through food resonates with our core values. We aren't just donating; we are rolling up our sleeves to help them produce incredible events that shine a light on the vital work they do for the youth of our city.”

The MAZI Project has gained national recognition for its novel approach to "food justice." Working alongside the vital immediate relief provided by traditional food banks, MAZI focuses on long-term empowerment by equipping young people with the tools, fresh produce, and confidence to cook nutritious meals, which improves their mental well-being and creates a sense of belonging.
Melanie Vaxevanakis, Founder of The MAZI Project, added:

“We are so excited to be partnering with Bright for 2026. Their clear passion for supporting their community makes it all the better to be partnering up to host some of our biggest events so far. It is a great opportunity to harness their expertise in building engaging experiences whilst giving us space to tell our story and make sure more young people in Bristol feel love through food.

The partnership will kick off in early 2026, with Bright providing end-to-end production support for The MAZI Project’s key fundraising and community awareness events throughout the year.

About The MAZI Project:

We are a charity nourishing the potential of marginalised 16- 25 year olds, using food as a tool to reduce isolation, build confidence and make each young person feel extraordinary.

We support care leavers, young asylum seekers, youth recovering from homelessness and fleeing domestic violence. From our aMAZIng fortnightly meal kit service, to our accredited education programmes and community building events, we help create brighter futures for each of our aMAZIng members (young people).
